My 27 year journey at Primrose Earth Centre began with an exploration of ecological food production, however over the years my connection with the earth and nature became very deep and the journey took on healing and spiritual qualities. Working in close harmony with nature, I began to feel the rhythms and interrelationships of all life and we introduced mindfullness and gratitude into our working day. The permaculture principle that 'Nature is our Teacher' guided me. However it was when sacred and healing sound came into my life that my relationship to nature and the land rose to a higher level.
We built the sacred sound/peace chamber, which connects with the others around the world and acts as a portal and acupuncture point on the earth. We have also been involved with the 'For the One' sacred fasting dances that through sound release trauma from individuals, communities and the land.
At Primrose we run the Seasonal Sounds Days, which use sound, song and movement to honour and bless the land and to help connect participants to the natural energy cycles. I am experimenting with using the C and F sharp interval on plants and gonging in the garden. We also work with the power of spontaneous song using the vowel sounds, and the positive relationships between sound and movement and sound healing and nature. www.primroseearthcentre.co.uk
