UK, BRISTOL - Kirtan with Tim Chalice & Friends, Tim Chalice, Space 238, 238 Stapleton Rd, Bristol, BS5 0NT, 07 Feb 2020

Join Tim Chalice & Friends (including David Oliver on drums & Martin Solomon on violin/harp) for a special evening of devotional singing on Friday 7th February. By repeating and immersing ourselves in simple mantras, Kirtan is a very accessible way to still the mind and awaken the heart.

The moment we begin to chant there is a feeling of letting go, a deepening of the breath and a sense of coming home. We can let go of the doership and simply be in the present. While focussing on these repetitive sounds our thoughts begin to recede. When the chants end, we can bathe in the silence that remains. Feelings of fear, anger and separation are gently transformed into feelings of love, compassion and Oneness.

Kirtan is for everyone. No prior experience of chanting is necessary to gain the many benefits it has to offer, simply an openness to what may occur. Whether you wish to quiet the chatter of the mind, connect with your heart, de-stress or simply enjoy singing with others kirtan is for you!

Tim Chalice has been leading Kirtan for well over 10 years, appearing at many bhakti and yoga festivals, gatherings and retreats, as well as releasing two Kirtan CDs.

Children welcome, Under 14s free
