UK, BRISTOL - Monthly Kirtan at Bristol City Yoga, Tim Chalice, Bristol City Yoga, 16 Backfields Lane, Bristol, BS2 8QW, 27 Sep 2019

After a break for the Summer come and join Tim Chalice and David Oliver (drums) for a beautiful evening of Kirtan on Friday 27th September. This session takes place on the last Friday of the month.

By repeating simple mantras Kirtan (devotional chanting) is an effortless and very joyful way to experience some freedom from the endless chatter of the mind, revealing a graceful state of being and inner peace.

The moment we begin to chant there is a feeling of letting go, a deepening of the breath and a sense of coming home. We can let go of the doership and simply be in the present. While focussing on these repetitive sounds our thoughts begin to recede. When the chants end, we can bathe in the silence that remains. Feelings of fear, anger and separation are gently transformed into feelings of love, compassion and Oneness.

Kirtan is for everyone. No prior experience of chanting is necessary to gain the many benefits it has to offer, simply an openness to what may occur. Whether y

UK, Gong & Sound Bath Meditation, Gel Jones, Great Dunmow Maltings , 29 Sep 2019

Laying comfortably on a yoga mat wrapped in a blanket, the sound waves of the gongs gently begin to flood your being as we settle into relaxation.
The brain waves begin to slow down as the body absorbs the healing vibrations emanating from the gongs.
Every cell, muscle, organ and fibre of our entire being begins to respond to the frequencies and vibrations as they become entrained by the powerful tones, restoring harmony, balance and coherence within as the stress of life’s challenges can cause us to become unbalanced, creating incoherence within and disrupting the flow of life force energy and if left, this can manifest into negativity, illness and dis-ease.

As we continue to bathe in the powerful sound waves, the bodies natural healing abilities are enabled and the release of stuck energy can occur, releasing us from the grip of past emotional traumas and attachments as blockages are dispelled and dispersed.
Altered states of consciousness can be reached, changing perceptio
