Laying comfortably on a yoga mat wrapped in a blanket, the sound waves of the gongs gently begin to flood your being as we settle into relaxation.
The brain waves begin to slow down as the body absorbs the healing vibrations emanating from the gongs.
Every cell, muscle, organ and fibre of our entire being begins to respond to the frequencies and vibrations as they become entrained by the powerful tones, restoring harmony, balance and coherence within as the stress of life’s challenges can cause us to become unbalanced, creating incoherence within and disrupting the flow of life force energy and if left, this can manifest into negativity, illness and dis-ease.

As we continue to bathe in the powerful sound waves, the bodies natural healing abilities are enabled and the release of stuck energy can occur, releasing us from the grip of past emotional traumas and attachments as blockages are dispelled and dispersed.
Altered states of consciousness can be reached, changing perceptio

Compose your life: understanding how our emotional state is composed and then consciously converting negativity to positivity creates a happy and healthy life. The process is similar to the composition of music, and Naad Yoga uses musical modes and our own emotions as raw material for personal development.

In this three-year programme, our focus is to prepare you for an experience of mastery in life. Tuning, listening, rhythm, singing, chakras, senses, emotional signatures, moods, composition and silence are the ten keys that will be used consistently.

We teach six instruments, bowed, plucked and percussion, used from ancient times as tools to build a spiritual bridge between body, mind and soul: Dilruba, Sarangi, Saranda, Rabab, Taus and Jori.

How does it work?
You progress through a combination of supported learning at home, classes in a group and intensive residentials. The course includes:

24 weeks of practical learning at home with online/DVD course materials per year

The Study Society Mevlevi Turners
In 1963, The Study Society became one of the very few organisations ever authorised to teach the Mevlevi whirling dervish ‘turning’ tradition (devised by Jalaluddin Rumi) outside Turkey. The turning is a part of a ceremony known as a Mukabele (meaning coming face to face). The ceremony is open to people of all beliefs and backgrounds. As well as having a deep transforming effect on the turners, the ceremony has a profound inner symbolism, which represents humankinds inner journey back to the realisation of his/her essential oneness with God and the unity of all creation. After the whirling dervishes (Kim Richardson and Tomo Goto have turned during this evening’s e
