UK, POWYS - Sound Healing and Nature, Paul Benham, Primrose Haven, Felindre, Brecon, Powys, LD3 0ST , 22 Jun 2018

The residential weekend will integrate the healing power of nature into our voice work. We will work with the sounding traditions of people that lived close to nature and used sound to deepen their connection with their environment. The course will be held at Primrose Haven in the Sound Peace Chamber, the Celtic Roundhouse and in some of the beautiful outside spaces such as the Peace Garden, the Stone Circle with the four directions and elements, the Emissary Wheel and weather permitting, beside a mountain stream above the nearby woods.

When people are more connected with their own spirits, there is less of a desire to destroy or put down another. UK, Fortnightly Gong Bath Sound Sanctuary @ Zen Yoga, Camberwell, Alicia Davies/ Alimadee, 24a Camberwell Grove, London Se5, 24 Jun 2018

A Gong Bath is a profoundly relaxing experience. Washed by waves of sound, the body, mind and spirit enter a state of cohesion, while the vibrations of the powerful Planet Gongs and other healing instruments cause the cells to resonate sympathetically. It’s a fast track to deep meditation, perfect for quieting the busy mind, and stimulating for the body’s innate healing abilities.

If it is the first time you’ve tried the experience, the power of a Gong Bath - sometimes known as sound massage - maybe something of a surprise. The sounds of the gong vary dramatically from the quietest whisper to a primal roar a wall of sound that resonates everything it touches, including the particles that make up our physical bodies. The Gong’s frequencies are cleansing and purifying, detoxing, relaxing, and stimulating, depending on the state in which you arrive for your session. All that is required of you is to turn up, lie down, and chill out.

UK, Full Moon Gong Meditation With Sacred Cacao Ceremony, Nicola Kelsall, Earthtones Sound Therapy, Studio 6, The Old School Business Centre, Church Drive, Nottingham NG5 6LD, 28 Jun 2018

During a full moon there is a surge of powerful energy, making it the perfect time to take action in your life. The Full Moon is a time to release that which no longer serves you, anything you no longer need in your life or an aspect of yourself that you have outgrown. We cannot move on or embrace new opportunities until we let go of the old and signal our readiness to embrace the new. Often, taking actions within a ceremony or ritual can give them more potency.

What Will Happen in the Gong Meditation?

We’ll begin by indulging in sacred, ceremonial grade pure Cacao, to open the heart to the energies to come. We’ll then take part in a cleansing guided meditation, before letting the healing, sacred sounds of the gongs, Himalayan bowls and earthy percussion wash over you.

After this, there will be time to re-hydrate and share your journey, if you wish to.

What is “Pure Ceremonial Cacao”?

Pure Cacao is sometimes called “raw chocolate”. It is about as far from the dairy fille

UK, BRISTOL - Monthly Kirtan at Bristol City Yoga, Tim Chalice, Bristol City Yoga, 16 Backfields Lane, Bristol, BS2 8QW, 29 Jun 2018

Join us for a beautiful evening of Kirtan on Friday 29th June. I am very happy to be joined by fantastic percussionist David Oliver.

By repeating simple mantras Kirtan (devotional chanting) is an effortless and very joyful way to experience some freedom from the endless chatter of the mind, revealing a graceful state of being and inner peace.

The moment we begin to chant there is a feeling of letting go, a deepening of the breath and a sense of coming home. We can let go of the doership and simply be in the present. While focussing on these repetitive sounds our thoughts begin to recede. When the chants end, we can bathe in the silence that remains. Feelings of fear, anger and separation are gently transformed into feelings of love, compassion and Oneness.

Kirtan is for everyone. No prior experience of chanting is necessary to gain the many benefits it has to offer, simply an openness to what may occur. Whether you wish to quiet your mind, awaken your heart, de-stress or simpl
